Lyrics (possibly):
Who’s your mother’s secret lover
sitting hiding undercover?
To play with Roman candles
hold on tight to my love handles
Maybe it’s my killer instinct
maybe it’s not me whose
jizz stinks (?)
Going underwater
underrated Jewish quarter
Flowers blooming
Clocks are zooming
Through the air
Piano tuning
Running, jumping
Mumble something nondescript
and who comes running
I’ll play a CD player
someday they’ll make you the mayor
who’s in charge of this whole farce
nazi hell is camouflage
Kicking, screaming
Nearly midnight
Things are clearer under moonlight
All the cats are having dogfights
Slowly losing all their eyesight
We’ll escape this shit somehow
Get your clothes we’re leaving now
Enchilada, handshake, plough
get your love, you have row
Flowers blooming
Clocks are zooming
Through the air
Piano tuning
Running, jumping
Mumble something nondescript
and who comes running
I’lI thank you later
Heaven is an escalator
Everything is gonna change
Everything is gonna change

Springsong - Tom Milsom (Painfully Mainstream)
From bandcamp & tmtunes:”The song is one quarter of a tetralogy of songs named after the four seasons, “Springsong”, “Summersong”, “Autumnsong”, and “Wintersong”.
The song appeared in a previous form as a seemingly nonsensical list, but was completely rewritten for the album release.”
Little sun
It’s hard to forget you
Every time we let you
In again
Stuck between
Always being too (c)old
And then when you get old
It’s wrong again
And you’re real
You’re real
You’re real
Real life
You’re real
You’re real
You’re real
Real life
Real life
Everything
Too brilliant to mention
It was my intention
To let it go
Growing worlds
Over the horizon
Find the hill it lies on
And be alone
Cause you’ll relight
you’ll relight
You’ll relight, relight
you’ll relight
you’ll relight
You’ll relight, relight
You’ll relight.
We’re running out of water
We’re running out of water
Full songs, best quality I could find. Closest to the actual order played I could figure out. (I was not there, second hand info can be wrong).

What song was that? (: I know it reminds me of something, but I can’t think of what it is.

Tom Milsom’s new album, ‘Painfully Mainstream’, skips from genre to genre, briefly settling on pop, folk and rock, and skipping through subtler shades of music, from post-rock to antifolk, from gypsy-punk to all-out thrash metal, but held under control and pinned together with Milsom’s unforced, uniquely British vocal style.
The backbone of the album consists of four songs named after seasons, ‘Autumnsong’ being a nine-minute post-rock epic reminiscent of Mogwai or Explosions In The Sky, while ‘Wintersong’ is a Pink Floyd tinged closer to an album that ends almost impossibly differently to how it started.
The album title is clearly a joke, but subtler than you might imagine. Hidden amongst this unusual album are nuggets of instrumentation not out of place on many records you hear every day on the radio – it’s not the techniques Milsom uses that are unusual; it’s how he hangs them together that makes this record something completely unique. It’s as though, in his search for a fitting medium to express himself, he sets off on a journey through music and comes up with something at once like everyone else, and like nobody other than himself.
