I’m always really excited to share my drawings, but a lot of it’s just dumb funny stuff that I’m proud of or think people will like. I do make some things that are very personal, ie. a lot of my songs, but I strive to share them in a way that feels comfortable to me. I don’t really make art as an act of catharsis so much as a way almost of explaining myself *to* myself. Sorting out my thoughts and trying to understand myself and the world better. And I enjoy sharing those thoughts about myself with people. (As it happens I used to write songs as cursory vehicles for the lyrics, but increasingly as of the explorers EPs, the lyrics have become a more decorative addition to the song beneath it.)

Anyway yeah if you’re making art cathartically that’s fine and healthy and cool but I’d also recommend trying to create art that both is a large part of you and something you’re comfortable sharing with people.

Apologies - I’ve been BUSY with: Scrooge the Musical play it has taken up a LOT of my time.
Along with my housing situation changing (two people moved out, and we helped). Two more weekends of performances! It’s been very fun but TIRING - Hope to catch up soon!

Yeah, I saw those tweets too. He’s just venting I think. He was supposed to post something about it on tumblr, but I haven’t seen it yet.

If you scroll down a bit you can catch up with the conversation. You don’t have to have twitter to see his tweets. :)

I wish I did, we have sheet music for “A Little Irony” over on the chords page, and I think there are a couple of tutorials for parts of Indigo on you tube.

Two different sets of chords for Imperfections are on that page too - whether they are guitar or Uke chords I do not know, but it’s a start…
