When asked about the discrepancies in the two versions,
this was Tom’s reply:
“I am increasingly of the impression that there is an error with the last track. I think the bass part has somehow been shifted, and some of the lyrics deleted. I urge you to download the version off my website and replace the iTunes-bought version with it. I can only apologise.”
Personally, I always thought the beginning sounded strange, like it just was “HERE SONG!” *puts arm in air for emphasis*
It’s also different that the version on the old website.
So yeah, three different versions of this song:
1. An early one. 2. The correct one :
and 3. The iTunes screw up.
‘Okay so I think that the itunes one is also missing another verse (the one that starts “I worked the first half of my life”) or at least mine is. But they kind of sound like different versions, to me anyways. But I don’t know why they would be.’
